'Used to think...'

So, following en route with the "Dirty Thoughts" pic I did, BlazeShadow did a pic of her OC, Erith, and mine, Mulek, from the RP we did as part of her contest. And so did I!
So the story in the RP was Mulek was trying to protect Erith and her child, Crystie, from having his unicorn horn stolen. (YES, they're Unicorns. Erith's horn was chopped off though...) The child was kidnapped, and the two went to Mulek's village to receive guidance and assistance to fight the antagonist. However, a blessing given by the Village Elders left Mulek in a coma overnight, and Erith watched over him.
The pivotal pint was that Erith had the mindset that all men were selfish and greedy for power and prestige. So their first meeting wasn't exactly the warmest. But after all that has gone down up to this point, she starts having feelings for Mulek, embracing the fact that not ALL men are out for their own gain...
I'm still experimenting with this mode of shading, and I'm not exactly satisfied with it either. I've been trying to achieve Nancher's method, but I guess GIMP has some tools Photoshop doesn't...
