So Ling got the chance to go on a class foreign trip. The land was inhabited by pokemon gijinka characters aaaaaaaand I'm just BSing at this point.
Long story short, Ling wanted to learn from Tama, whatever it is she taught, which happened to be blacksmithing. Tama was strict, and Ling dilligent, though clumsy at times. Making a basic sword is one of the simplest things to do, so that was her first project. Now Tama is examining it to see if it meets the standards.
Hope you like it! I tried out some color blending, especially with the background!

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis is my first critique, so I'll do my best. XD
Righty then.
At first sight, this image really caught my eye. I love the way the two characters are posed int his image, the women on the right inspecting the weapon as the other looks on. The BG and the colours work well also.
However, I do think that some of the tones could be worked into more slighty, especially on right girl's hair and face. The rather sketchy sparks from the fireplace do slighty bother me.
But otherwise, a great image, with a good chance of winning, I think!
