Stryder vs. Chaotic Starlight! Who's gonna win? Brawn vs. Finess!
Actually pretty satisfied with this one. The cave lighting came out almost as I was hoping it would!
Enjoy!

It was the lighting that first caught my eye. There's quite an interesting balance between the two that really adds to the composition. The darkened feel is also an eye-catcher to draw in the viewer and intensifies the battle feel.
***

LINEART: Lineart's a typical black except for a few parts where they are colored orange/green. Fits well overall and is probably a good choice to help the background elements stand out from the lighting. Overall very clean and any possible shaky lines fit with the rough texture of the lines composing the cave.

COLORING/SHADING: The coloring in this is good, shading is wonderful. It's very straightforward and doesn't muddle around with complexity so much the effects are lost. The shading glow from the fire and the green aura surrounding Starlight are near perfect and they add a level of complexity and interest to the piece. The dark values of the shading in the rocks and in the deep crevices of Stryder's clothing are an added plus as well.

COMPOSITION: Composition is fairly well done. The characters are definitely well-placed along both sides of the vertical frame. Finer details that are in the foreground objects, but not in the background objects help to emphasize perspective. There really isn't much of an actual focal point though. Either the eye falls to Stryder's head or to the crumbling rock wall. Slightly confusing but it's not terrible.

CHARACTERS/ANATOMY: Characters are composed well, posed nicely, and hold good, intense expressions. Stryder's clothing and wrinkles are done well as well as the fire highlights and glows. His neck definitely looks bit long though. When someone stretches their neck like that, one side tends to be shorter than the other. Both sides are even here, which is probably what's messing up the perspective.
Starlight looks good with a rather interesting posing, good expression, amazing glow effect, and her lack of details again helps with the perspective. But her tucked leg wouldn't be visible. It'd be more under her from that view. Her other leg looks pretty stiff and rather static. It's hard to tell whether she's about to duck into a roll or just pull her feet underneath her. But since she's so far away, it's not really too big of a deal. The only thing that is kind of a big deal is her hands might be a tad too big for the perspective distance. Otherwise though, well done on the characters

BACKGROUND: Background is simple, interesting, works for the piece and contains dark enough shading to compliment the lighting. Overall very nice.

EFFECTS: Glowing effects. Amazing. The green aura lines create a beautiful, subtle movement effect for the rocks and for Starlight. Nothing else needs to be said.

IN COMPARISON OF OTHERS WORKS BY THE ARTIST: Possibly some of the best fire glow effects I've seen in comparison to other works. Nailed it on the clothing here.

POSSIBLE MEANS OF IMPROVEMENT: I'm going to bug you again about varying line thickness. Just a suggestion again but it would've worked beautifully here. The view on Stryder's neck too...I know it's a difficult view but it needs a bit more work.

OVERALL IMPACT: Strong piece overall. Intense and bold with its subtle movement cues and strong lighting composition. Well done.
