Reposted now that sexist drama is out of the way

So this all started with an MSN chat. Somehow we got on the subject of how it's almost a requirement for a princess to be held captive, and then be rescued. Turns out her main OC, Jade, is a NINJA princess! Now, I don't know if there's some kind of exemption for ninjas, but we decided not in this case! So we made it an art trade!
I don't know about everyone else, but I think a situation where the damsel is in quicksand is one of the more dramatic scenarios. I would go where the chick is swallowed by a giant monster, and then the hero has to fight the monster, BUT not only would that be difficult to depict, also, I found out that those sort of "eaten" scenarios are actually a fetish. So I went with quicksand. And of course, Stryder comes to save the day, cargo pants and all.
This one I'm pretty proud of! Not only did I get a texture for the pit figured out, but I'm getting the hang of the multiply function AND figured out a trick for a better "atmospheric" appearance!

Originality Technique ImpactAmazing work! First , I'd like to say that I love how you made it with a PRINCESS in danger. Next ,I love the facial expression on both of their faces. Stryder looks surprised to see Jade in the quicksand, but knowing what will happnr if he doesn't save her. And Jade looks terrified to see herself waist deep in quicksand. And the background looks amazing! It looks so dark and gloomy, but that's pretty good ! Overall, I find it about 3 stars in originality, because -1 due to the fact about every action movie or book including a princess, she always hes to get kidnapped. And -1 more, because in a lot of movies and books, the bad guys just drop the girl into the quicksand and just run away and let her sink to her doom. But this is some of the most amazing work on deviantart I've ever seen.
